Meet Dr. Eli

Dr. Eli Lizorkin-Girzhel is an Israeli scholar of Russian Jewish heritage (former last name Lizorkin-Eyzenberg). Outside of his work as Academic Dean at the Israel Institute of Biblical Studies, he publishes a great variety of Hebraic teaching materials and mentors pastors, priests, missionaries, and other Christian leaders around the world. God’s call on his life is to equip believers (especially Christian leaders) to encounter Scripture through its original Jewish context, culture, and language until they, too, hear the soft sound of sandaled feet. If you are led to partner with Dr. Eli, your support will help ensure that this vital, life-changing work continues to bear fruit for generations to come. To offer your support, click here.

What does all that mean for you? It means the articles here aren’t lightweight devotional thoughts or recycled sermon illustrations. They’re the kind of insights you only get when someone can open the Hebrew Bible, the Greek New Testament, the Dead Sea Scrolls, and a rabbinic commentary—all at the same time—and explain them in plain English.
